Overview:
Pirate Pals is a youth NFL Flag Football team concept inspired by the Las Vegas Raiders. The goal was to develop a playful, kid-friendly identity that captures the bold, rebellious energy of Raider Nation, specifically the iconic Black Hole fan section while remaining approachable and fun for young athletes.
Design Approach:
The visual system features a custom mascot (#53), a fearless mini pirate geared up for action, designed to echo the Raiders’ gritty aesthetic with a smile. The logo set includes a full badge, a roundel, shield lockups, and standalone icons that nod to classic Raiders elements, including swords, skulls, and heavy black-and-silver tones. Typography is bold and energetic, appealing to both kids and parents while staying rooted in the tradition of pro football branding.
Outcome:
This system was built to bring the excitement of Sunday football to the youth flag scene, combining pro-level polish with kid-powered fun. Whether printed on jerseys, stickers, or field banners, the Pirate Pals identity is designed to stand out, energize young players, and connect with the spirit of Raiders fandom.
